This Norwegian band started like many as a simple one man project but now going strong with a full line-up they have produced this eccentric album Djevelsvart!

Its always nice to find new bands that stray from the music norm and Glittertind have been pretty successful with the making of this album. This ten track album has produced some fast folk infested music with its own twisted take on it Scandinavian influences. The first track I heard which is track nine Stjerneslor really drew me in for a second making me think I had the wrong album playing, as the sound was densely influenced by no other than punk rock! This is a first for me to sample such a mixture hence I refer to it as ‘eccentric’ however the sound gives a hint of eastern folk metal such as ‘Arkona’ and to me it’s got potential. Another find I was more than happy to sample this year, I do recommend giving it a listen.
