You have to be amused by the name Lords of Bukkake and the fact that they are also a sludge doom outfit has me intrigued before the music has even started. Whilst the album art work doesn’t exactly thrill me I don’t tend to judge a book by its cover as it were and so I settle in for a listen to the bands third full length release. Starting off this four track album with “Boca Acida” the band demonstrate one of the most bizarre, distorted and abrasive vocal styles you are ever likely to hear whilst all around them the crazy riff-age, deep hum of the bass and spasmodic drumming style lurch and weave in an unpredictable pattern of noise, groove and down tuned cacophony! The band aren’t exactly what you would call coherent and it is only in slower more subdued passages that they put together anything at all resembling a flow. When they wish to be though they are dark, slowed down and groovy! “Hereditaria” offers a far more droning sound, long drawn out barren riffs, sparse drum beats and gallons of fuzz, whilst the strained vocals once more permeate everything with their almost painful shriek.  With more rampant shredding on display but all the same traits as before, “Relente” continues this tank like performance whilst finale track “Desagravio” inserts a little more groove but little else. It is without a doubt an ordeal of an album, a tough nut to crack and whilst it lacks a little in variety it is never the less a little bit of a beast!
