“Dehumanization” is a 3-band split cd aimed at extreme metal lovers. And since any of these bands is bringing nothing new to the genre, if you’re one of those people who think grindcore and deathcore sound all alike, this cd won’t definitely change your mind. But if you’re into this kind of audio brutality and your ears are able to distinguish the patterns in each composition, then “Dehumanization” might be a treat for you.

The first four songs are performed by Turkish death/grind metallers Persuaded. Well, an intro and three songs to be more precise. So after the little more than a minute that “Salvage Therapy” lasts, “Killer Instinct” steps up living up to its title – killer riffs and beats, grinding growls, ripping and tearing in terms of speed. But the tempo isn’t fast all the time. They keep hitting the gas pedal on and off, and in the off moments, the aggression is replaced by a massive feeling of heaviness.

“Silent Death” and “Darkness Inside You” can get pretty much the same description, but they explore the breaks and the drops in their own way, distinguishing themselves from one another.

The following four tracks come from Italian deathcore band Insane Therapy. The guitar work is quite good, especially in “Where’s Your God?” and “Can You Hear Me?”. The screaming along the growling in “One Thousand Why” and “Veil Of Silence” also gives a special touch to the compositions.

Then staying in the deathcore path but back to Turkey, Bleeding Surface. Although the first of their tracks, “After Plague”, is a bit too brutal for deathcore, closer to grindcore. “Awaking The Pestilence” is halfway those two, but then “C.O.W.A.R.D.” and “Critical Level Of Infection” are deathcore at its best, with a faint hint of melody in their drop tuning guitars.
